How to pick the correct size:
Take child's measurements
1. Length - from top of shoulder to the midcalf
2. Chest - Slip tape under arm and measure around the fullest part of the chest, add 1-2 inches
3. Waist - Go around the regular waist, use belly button as a guide, add 1-2 inches
4. Compare measurements taken to the size chart.
Scenario 1:
Pick the correct length first. You might find that chest and waist of the dress are a bit wider than what you need . The sash on the sides of the dress can be tied into a bow to make the dress look fitted or you can have it taken in a bit by a seamstress.
Scenario 2:
You picked the correct length but chest and waist are too tight. You need to get the size that will work with the chest and waist measurements and have the dress shortened instead.
